- Della wants to buy her husband Jim a gift for Christmas but doesn’t have enough. She had only saved $1.87 over the months.
- I cut my hair and sold it to by you a Christmas present…
- Della was upset until she noticed a mirror and went to it. She saw her reflection and thought about cutting her most valuable thing which was her beautiful long hair.
- Omg! Its the combs i wanted! My hair grows fas- OH!
- Here’s your present!
- She headed to the streets until she came upon “Mme. Sofronie. Hair Goods of All Kinds” and entered. She asked if they cut and sold hair. They said yes and she sold her hair.
- Here is your Christmas present! Its a Chain for your watch
- ohh about that….i sold the watch to buy the combs
- After she got the money for her hair and bought Jim his gift with that money. She headed home and tried to style her hair.
- your hair looks beautiful short!
- Then, Jim gave della her present and was very happy to see that it was some combs she wanted.
- Finally, it was Della turn to give Jim his present which was a chain for his watch but he had sold it to buy her gift.
