"Catch That Dog by Will Taylor is a beautiful story about a girl named Joanie and a dog named Masterpiece. Joanie is ten years old with brown hair and brown eyes. Joanie's family is poor, and she often gets bullied because of it. Joanie is kind, smart, and brave. One of her eyes is permanently out of focus, while the other shows everything clear. Because of this, Joanie has amazing artistic talent. She is able to paint things slightly blurred, creating abstract monochrome portraits with shoe polish."
