- Rome is located in Italy. It has the Tyrrhenian Sea close to it. Etruria is next to it and it also has Greek civilizations close by.
- Etruscan influence on sports
- The myth of Romulus and Remus tells about how Rome got its name. The myth is about two brothers who fought eachother to rule a new settlement. Romulus becomes ruler and has the settlement named Rome after him when he kills his brother.
- Greek influence on architecture
- The Romans adopted the arch and the cuniculus from the Etruscans. The cuniculus is used for irrigation and are underground. The Romans eventually became better engineers than the Etruscans.
- Other Greek influences
- The Romans adopted slave fighting and chariot racing. Their form of slave fighting was gladiators. Chariot racing was also deadly because competitors could be trampled on by the horses or ran over by the wheels.
- The Romans used Greek designs to construct some of their buildings. The Greeks used features such as columns which the Romans began to use. The Greeks also constructed marble temples for their gods.
- The Greek alphabet was used and changed by the Etruscans, The Romans then used the Etruscans alphabet and changed it. The Romans also had influences from Greek art, they called it Greco-Roman art. They also blended many religions including Greek religion for use in their religion.
