- My first question is what did you feel about your cousin being gay, and you being one of the only people he could talk to about it?
- Today we are here with Vanessa Martin, please introduce yourself Vanessa.
- Hello everyone, I am Vanessa Martin and I was the winner of my middle school pageant.
- I felt that he could really trust me and our relationship was strong, I didn't care much that he was gay i accepted him for it.
- We are here in front of your old apartment, were your mom threw you in a bathtub. Why did you think she was so angelic after what she did to you?
- I didn't have any memory of that incident, and I thought my mom would be good and nice like everyone elses mom. Not a drug addict.
- What was your reaction when you were called as the winner of your middle school pageant?
- I didn't think i would win but i'm extremely happy my family and friends helped me win.
- What is you and your dads relationship like now that you have won the pageant?
- Our relationship has grown a bit since then and now he is less protective if I ask about mom, and now he is also less grumpy when he comes home.
- What did you feel when you found out what your mom was actually like and what she did?
- My heart shattered I felt sad, I couldn't believe what I heard or saw, the fact that she was in jail the whole time broke my heart, though I was also very upset because of what she did to be in jail.

- What did you feel when your father actually showed up to watch you at the pageant?
- I was happy he had shown up to watch me preform but i felt so angry at the same time.
