  • Ancient Rome is located in Italy that has a peninsula. The Italian peninsula is kind of shaped like a boot and goes into the Mediterranean sea. This civilization started in 700 B.C.E and ended in 476 C.E.
  • The Etruscan Influence of Sports on the Romans
  • The myth of Romulus and Remus starts out by a princess giving birth to two twins. The princesses uncle didn't want the boys to grow up and take the power so he tried to drown them in the Tiber river. A Wolf found the twins before they could drown so the wolf took them and raised them like her own. When Romulus and Remus were older they decided to make a new town of the Tiber river. In a argument over the land Romulus killed his brother and he took the throne.
  • The Greek Influence of Architecture on the Romans
  • The Etruscan's taught the people of Rome many skills that they use still today. They adapted the arch which was built by two pillars that the arch rested on. They also created the cuniculus which is a underground trench. They used these to irrigate land and do other things. They Romans took notes and now are even better engineers than the Etruscan were.
  • The Greek Influence of Writing, Art, and Religion on the Romans
  • The Romans have two main sporting events. One of these was slave fighting and the other one was Chariot races . These races were very dangerous because these usually ended up in death or very bad injury. Usually there were gladiators who were trained to fight slaves or animals for entertainment.
