- as Bazola waits for Harriet to sing her song to let her know it is time to go she sits by the house fire and prays she comes soon and they leave swiftly 
- Dear God, please save me from this world where i am enslaved. I pray that the journey is smooth and that i do not get caught.
- as the clock struck 12 Harriet came to collect slaves who wanted to be free
