Storyboard Tekst

  • One important event in the Persian Wars was when Spartan soldiers (who were greatly outnumbered) defended a mountain pass in phalanx position to allow the rest of the army to escape.
  • The result of the Persian Wars was that the Greeks won. The Persian Wars made the Greek city-states stronger and more unified.
  • The impact the Peloponnesian War had on the Greek city-states was that Athens lost its democracy, the Delian League was broken, and the city-states weren't unified and were weakened. This led to the city states being more vulnerable and easier for the Macedonians to attack and conquer.
  • One important event in the Peloponnesian War was when Spartan soldiers surrounded the Athenians within their own city's walls, making the import of food impossible. This caused the Spartans to win the war because Athenians were forced to either starve to death or surrender. They chose to surrender.
  • Alexander the Great and his war caused a major turning point for Greece. He not only conquered lots of territory, but spread Greek culture through cities governed by Greek rulers.
  • One of the most memorable events of this war was when Alexander the Great looted the riches of another civilization and distributed his new wealth with friends and citizens.
