  • In the 1910's Whites and non whites were separated from different places which meant that Africans were supposed to become independent and work for themselves. African leaders would announce that only certain people would apartheid each race and would expand independently.Segregation was also included it was also part of the government calledApartheid.
  • Revolution
  • In 1948, Non whites had less opportunities which included less education, they had 13% of land that was restricted for them. Non whites would only get low paying manual work which meant that non whites would get paid less money than Afrikaners.Afrikaners were going against the apartheid.
  • Recovery
  • In the 1917's Africans had spoken out to all South African schools. Some people were impatience to make a change so they kept protesting.The amount of South African had increased and joined the apartheid.
  • Black students were marching peacefully because they wanted justice but the police started the violence which caused many people to die. The ANC made strikes and other protests but the government did not like the protests so they had to get rid of them violently to stop them. In 1960 police started to fight back peacefully, but more than 60 people died because of the violation
  • In 1986 South Africans government had given permission for black africans,Coloreds and asians to attend different places they've been separated from.They had also allowed to marry different race. Black americans had more opportunities than usual. When it came to elections black Africans had the opportunity to vote . In 1989 De Klerk ordered Nelson Mandela to release. In 1994 Nelson Mandela was the first president in South Africa.
