  • Back in HIGH SCHOOL.....
  • PERIOD 7: ENGLISH
  • I have got to work harder to showcase I am not distracted and am focused...
  • I PUT soooo much work into these essays how can they just say I am distracted...maybe not sooo much work ... but I did work on it.
  • FINAL DRAFT DUE IN A WEEK
  • Well she is right my writing seems very repetitive, but I have soo many ideas on just a one sentence prompt of course it is going to be repetitive
  • By that I mean you are repeating yourself very often...you are way too overwhelmed by the task that you start slacking even though you start great your conclusion to the essay is just constant repetition.
  • You seem to be a veryDISTRACTEDin your writing,
  • ....I NEED HELP TO IMPROVE MYSELF...
  • WRITING REVIEW SESSION
  • "Sponsors, as I have come to think of them, are any agents local or distant..who are able to support, teach, model literacy."-Deborah Brandt, Writing about Writing, Elizabeth Wardle
  • Write more concisely, increase your vocabulary to use only one word to explain a whole sentence, else your writing will have more explanation and less details
  • To not become repetitive make sure you plan your writing and details to each point so your statement can come off a new viewpoint
  • How I worked to break my label
  • MONDAY: D1
  • I started writing at least thrice a week.. I wrote on simple topics but focused on editing and creating better drafts..
  • -> Need to work on vocabulary & flow
  • Started going to teachers for more help...recognizing I needed help was a big step to my success as a writer.
  • WEDNESDAY: Final D3
  • TUESDAY: D2
  • -> Need to work on repetition.
  • Increased my vocabulary by reading books especially the BIBLE which helped me a lot more importantly I was able to understand how to write seeing how books of the BIBLE were written with understanding and wisdom.
  • WHAT TO WRITE??
  • need to write: maybe write about:format to use:vocabulary to use:
  • I got into the habit of planning out my writing by making a list of what I wanted to write about...
  • "Threshold Concept: Writing is impacted by identities and prior experiences." - Writing about Writing, Elizabeth Wardle
  • Being able to overcome them wasn't able to be done without my positive literacy sponsors: my family and my teachers.
  • Maybe let me read my essay once more..and try and get some help
  • X-page Essay: Maturing as a writer
  • These situations and challenges have influenced who I have become as a writer. I have learnt to use these challenges that I overcome to help me improve.
  • Write more often, you need to get comfortable with writing on any topic..the more you write the better you get!!
  • Read more of the BIBLE, it will build your vocabulary and that will only help you excel.
  • HOW DO I IMPROVE??
  • How to write better: 1. focus on the prompt2. focus on key points3. use correct vocabulary
  • Psalm 119:100- I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
  • I struggled in the start to get help and understand that I was messing up because I refused that my hard work was insufficient but there was a room for improvement as there is even today.
