- Sir Toby, Sir Andrew, and Fabian hid near the tree and witnessed Malvolio reading the fake love letter. After reading the letter, Malvolio rereads the part where the letters of his name are.
- Maria comes back to the tree after Malvolio leaves Olivia's garden. She predicts what will Malvolio do next after reading the letter. Sir Toby was in excitement, and he wanted to celebrate it by drinking alcohol.
