- Maria Salomea Sklodowska was born in Warsaw, Poland, on November 7th of 1867. The fifth and youngest daughter of the recognized teachers Bronislawa and Wladyslaw Sklodowska.

- She received a general education in local schools and some scientific training from her father. Marie was very interested in school and studies.

- Marie became involved in a students’ revolutionary organization for womens, because on that tme in Poland womens wasn't able to study.

- In 1891, she went to Paris to continue her studies at the Sorbonne where she obtained Licenciateships in Physics and the Mathematical Sciences. She met Pierre Curie, Professor in the School of Physics in 1894.

- In 1895 Maria Sklodowska become Marie Curie, she married with Pierre Curie.
- Marie Curie found out two new elements, Radio and Polonium. She won two Nobel Prizes. She and her husband had to fight with a lot of discrimination, because she was the first woman to won a Nobel Prize and her life was not easy as a scientist and human, because she was a female.
