Did you know that the South was one of the largest Geographic land throughout the nations?

That's amazing! I heard that they also had amazing fertile soil, warm climate, and large waterways that were used for travel and planting crops.

You mean crops like tobacco and cotton?

Exactly!

Wasn't the government back then a large system of seeking and organizing power? And that they would argue over slave ownership?

That is true. A lot of the decisions that were made caused arguments, such as when they gained 5,000 square miles of land after the Mexican-American war causing many disputes over slavery.

Oh yeah! There was even some states that wanted slavery to be outlawed on these new lands!

Yes, this caused an unbalance between the free and the slave states. Luckily, Henry Clay had suggested a solution that was passed through congress as soon as possible.

The economy of the South mostly revolved around cash crops such as tobacco, rice, sugar, and most importantly, cotton!

Wasn't the cotton gin what was used to make it easy with money? And also supposed to help with the prevention of slavery?

You may think that but it actually back fired on the creator, Eli Whitney. It ended up creating a larger increase in slave labor since farmers would need more people the mend the crops and work the machines.

Southern farmers would use the money they got to buy goods from the North, West, and England.
