  • Strategies for Interest Groups: Lobbying/PACs
  • NumbersUSA has contributed 1.1 million dollars since 2016 in order to cut down U.S immigration
  • Some Interest Groups form Political Action Committees (PACs) . These groups collect funds from donors and distribute them to candidates who support their issues. They also will contribute the funds to campaigns against candidates.
  • If a candidate favors limiting immigration then groups can give funds to this candidate and also to groups that are rooting for less immigration.
  • Political Parties use the media as a strategy because they are able to only show what they wont to be advertised, whether it is good or bad. For instance for immigration if the parties is rooting for no immigration they are going to show all the downfalls of it and the same goes for the side that wants to allow immigration. They then are only going to show the good parts of immigration.
