- Hey there! I am a rock a I'm here today to talk about , or rather show, my journey through the rock cycle, from magma to sediment, so without further ado, lets get going!
- it all started here, under/in the volcano. i was magma but slowly and surely, that changed.
- because of the pressure the magma used to shoot up and subsequently cool down, i was taken to the top of the volcano and became an igneous rock
- once i reached the surface the weather instantly tried wearing me down. i broke into bits and pieces through a process called weathering.
- I was then taken by the river and transported to the sea using the process of erosion
- My fragments sank into the seabed and were deposited as "sediment"
- as the layers of other sediment built up i was finally compressed into a sedimentary rock!
