- Harsh and Deb are returning home after school.
- Please tell what examples of Contact and Non-contact forces are you going to write in Physics assignment?
- Nothing planned as such. Don't you remember what Anita ma'am said? She told us to get them from our everyday experiences.
- Both walk towards their house.
- Hey!! You hit the ball with CONTACT FORCE. Isn't it.
- Yes, You are RIGHT. I contacted the ball to hit.
- Both reach in front of their house.
- Hey!! i am pulling the door with CONTACT FORCE. Isn't it.
- Oh!
- Oh Deb! You dropped your bag. I think strap of bag broken.
- Harsh and Deb are students of DAV Public School, Vasant Kunj and discussing about their Physics assignment about Contact and Non-contact forces assigned by their Anita ma'am.
- Both are happy as they got an example of Non-contact force.
- Hey!! have you observed it Harsh?. My bag dropped due to gravitational force.
- GREAT!!
- Harsh hits the ball and Deb observes that it is an example of contact force as Harsh makes contact with his foot to hit the ball.
- Deb's mother opens the door and Deb enters inside the house.
- Deb, quickly go to the washroom and take a shower. I am preparing lunch for you.
- I'm really tired, Mom. First I want to drink cold water. it is hot outside.
- Deb pulls the door and observes that he contacted the door knob to apply the force for it.
- When Deb and his mother reach the kitchen, they see that the door is already locked.
- But door is already closed.
- Yes, the fridge door automatically closes because of the magnet attached to it
- Dev's bag falls and Harsha notices that this is an example of a non-contact force as it falls down due to the pull of the gravitational force.
- .., and this is an example of NON-CONTACT FORCE.
- Tired Deb is in a hurry and just wants to drink cold water from refrigerator.
- Oh! I left the fridge door open. Shut it down too.
- Deb is happy as she understood the contact and non-contact forces and completed the task assigned by her teacher Ankita Ma'am. He is now very excited to jot down all his observations in his physics notebook.GREAT LEARNING!!!
