- Black, proud of raising Jem and Scout, self educated, capable of a lot, high standards, and strict. She also considers discipline to be very important especially to young Jem and Scout. Housekeeper for Atticus Finch.
- Atticus

- An old woman-ill, has difficulty walking, her physical pain making her personality bitter and angry.
- Jem

- A farmer who shares the prejudices of the time and place of the story, but can never be treated fairly. Also, very hardworking, and is poor because the great depression hit his family the hardest.
- Scout

- Atticus is an old man nearly 50 years old, Wears glasses because of his poor eyesight on his left eye. He is courageous, impressive, helpful and respectful with manners.
- Jem is a boy and is a lot like his younger sister. However, he's even more brave and curious, and of course stronger. He also has a passion for football.
- Scout is a girl, age of 9 dresses like a tomboy. She's brave, curious, has a little attitude when she talks sometimes, and is naive as well.
