- So cool! I can't believe that I am actually looking at the Carbon nucleus, and a real one, not just a model!
- Here is the nucleus of Carbon. Located here are 6 neutrons and 6 protons. The neutrons have a neutral charge where as the protons have a positive charge
- What! I had no idea that I was made up of Carbon how cool! This is such an amazing experience. I have been wondering though, with all these subatomic particles, how much does carbon weigh?
- Now before we continue to see the electrons, I want to blow you away with some Carbon facts. Did you know that you are made of carbon? Yup, that's right everything that is living or was once living has carbon inside.

- Here, you can see 6 electrons located around the nucleus. These negatively charged subatomic particles orbit around the nucleus just like the planets orbit around the sun.
- On the outer layer, you will see 4 electrons. These are the valance electrons of carbon.
