- Evening, a solider approaches asking for a drink of water. While the wife fetches it they talk up about the news upfront(owl creek bridge).
- Fastfoward, Peyton is about to be hung where the solider was talking about. Only wanted to see his family because that what his last thoughts close to death.
- Suddenly the rope broke, and found himself swimming away. He wants to go home to his family.
- Spent all day and night to get back to his family, thats what kept him going.
- Was releived when he got home, came up to his wife just to suddenly feel a sharp pain in his neck.
- Whole time he was just imagining it.
