Storyboard Tekst

  • Volleyball is a big sport and there's more to it than just passing a ball back and forth. It includes momentum, impulse, and collisions.
  • Momentum is used in volleyball when the hitter swings their arm to hit the ball back at the other team. momentum also effects how high you jump when you do your approach.
  • Force is also used in volleyball when we are receiving a hit or a serve. We need to use a high amount of force so we can get the ball up for the setter.
  • Impulse has a big effect on volleyball. Depending on how less time is used makes the force bigger.
  • Collisions happen when the ball is being hit and when it is being blocked. The person blocking the ball is supposed to jump to have a collision with the ball so it stops the ball from coming back over the net.
  • The collisions during a block and a hit are elastic collisions. The ball bounces off the arm in the end while the kinetic energy is conserved.
