- Who Are They?
- Miranda B., 55 y.o., her son (26 y.o.) is to be released from prison within the next 6 months. She lives in an urban environment that has been disproportionately impacted by the prison industrial complex.
- How does the problem you want to solve relate to them?
- Miranda wants to help her son with a smooth reentry , but not get overwhelmed because she knows nothing on the topic and is working 2 jobs.She cares about supporting her son in any way that she can and keeping him on the right track so as not to recidivate.
- How do they currently solve this problem?
- Miranda B. currently conducts Google Search and talk to other mothers who have sons either incarcerated or recently incarcerated in her neighborhood.

- How does this solution connect to their needs?
- Miranda B. likes this because it contains relevant information and is easy to navigate.The pro is that it has a number of links that are curated to meet her discrete needs.

- How does this solution not solve this problem?
- Miranda B. doesn't like the fact that she has to navigate through so many websites and wishes all the information was included in one place. She also wishes the information was specific to her place of residence.
- How do they currently solve this problem?
- What is their technical skill level or subject matter expertise?
- Miranda B. knows how to use email and conduct non-specific Google Searches] and understands a bit about prison and reentry as she has had relatives and friends deal with it in the past.Beyond that, she does not have any advanced computer literacy. She will need to access an interface that is user-friendly and contains clear instruction.
