- An idiom is a group of words that mean something different from the actual wordsThis is an example of an idiom because the girl made the shot and said it was a piece of cake because it was easy

- Allusion makes a reference to people, places, events, or literary works. This is an example of an allusion because he's referring to cinderella, if he doesn't get home from the soccer game before midnight he'll get in trouble.
- Analogy
- Finding my keys are like finding a needle in a haystack
- Motivation is the reason someone acts a certain way.This is an example of motivation because the girl singing gave another girl motivation to go next.
- Foreshadowing
- Irony is when someone says something and they don't actually mean it.This is an example of irony because the girl is saying that it's good weather but its raining and stormy.
