The Myth Of Demeter

- Wait what? What am I supposed to do now?!
- FINE! I give up Zeus! I cant do this its too hard!
- W-What’s going on?
- In a flash, Demeter found herself in the middle of a big great and wide field which was filled with all kinds of horses. She didn’t understand what to do but thankfully she had Zeus talk to her but she couldn’t see him! He explained that in order for her to return to her village she must complete specific tasks.
- I CANT DO THIS! This is impossible I’m not perfect or pretty and I certainty cannot do everything!
- Demeters task was to gather all the horses that were wandering in the huge field but Demeter failed, she tried to get them together for days but with no use. She was upset and confronted Zeus and explained that this task was too hard for him.
- Well young kid, when I saw you admiring yourself everyday I knew I had to put this action to a end. So I asked one of my servants to place a magical rock in the garden you always were in so that when you touch it you come down here and learn that nobody’s perfect is a truth we do well to accept very early in our lives. Why? Because it would save us from committing many mistakes and actually help us to have happier lives.
- Thank you so much Zeus! I have learnt so much through this experience and I promise you that i will never forget this.
- After Demeter confessed that to Zeus, in a blink of a eye she was taken back to the Underworld where the air there was hot and Smokey. To her surprise Zeus wasent there. She wasent able to see him but she could her his voice as he explained that her next task was to fight this Minotaur.
- D-DEMETER!!! Your back!
- Demeter! I am so glad to see you healthy again what happened?
- Demeter tried for days again to defeat the Minotaur but she couldn’t. The task was impossible. She was so tired she decided to holler out her thoughts where she admitted that she wasn’t perfect nor the prettiest and certainly couldn’t do everything.
- Suddenly, after Demeter admitted she wasn’t perfect, nor the prettiest and of course wasn’t able to do everything, she found herself at the very begging of the tunnel she was in the first place, the pain in her hands started to fade and the are wasn’t so thick anymore, and there certainly wasn’t any more fog hugging the ground. It all seemed peaceful and quiet. There she saw Zeus whom explained to her everything and why she was brought to the Underground.
- Soon, Demeter woke up and found herself in her friends Hera’s house. Gratitude flow through Freya and Hera when they saw Demeter slowly opening her eyes and regaining her consciousness and when Demeter saw her friends her heart throbbed with happiness. She told her friend all about what happened and the lesson she learnt about No human is always right. No human has all knowledge, all strength, all goodness, all ability, all wisdom….I could go on…..
