The Beginning of an Era.

In Portugal, a man named Vasco-Da-Gama goes through the Atlantic ocean to take goods from a new land , India. He travels day and night to reach the Indian subcontinent. When he reaches Indian shores of Calicut , He takes all the spices they have. Portugal becomes rich. Now, the English/British hear this and they also wish to trade, The name of the company in charge of trade was the East India Company. Their leader was general Robert Clive. They established a factory in Surat, Gujarat. They also started fighting wars for more power and soon India came under their rule. So friends, Do you think these people came for trade or territory ?
