- A farmer went out to sow his seed.
- As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up
- Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
- The parable tells the story of God, who is the sower. The birds are the Devil, who takes God's word from the path, those who do not believe in God's word
- Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain.
- But what does it mean!
- Other seeds land on the rocky grounds, those who only choose God's Word when it suits them but turn their backs on him during tough times.
- The thorns are those who are greedy and ignore God's Word, and finally the Good Soil is those who live a full and good life, who follow God and His word.
