- My name is Ms.Kinnian and I am Charlie's Teacher

- Charlie starts writing his first progress that Dr. Strauss tells him to. He explains who he is and that he would like to be smart. His spelling is terrible so we know that he isn't very smart.
- climax
- An operation is performed on Charlie to increase his intelligence. The results of the operation aren't immediate. but they have worked on lab mice. So they monitor him
- falling action
- During Charlie's monitoring he is tested for his intelligence. One of the major tests is having to race a lab rat. named Algernon, though a maze. At first, Charlie wasn't smart enough to beat the mouse but after some time he starts beating Algernon. This is a major sign that he is gaining intelligence, Charlie goes on to become smart enough to challenge anyone.
- resolution
- After some time being smart, Charlie is informed of Algernon's slow fall into death. This even cause Charlie to go into a lab and research why Algernon lost his intelligence and died. Once Charlie finished the research, he learns he will also lose his intelligence
- omg i will lose all my intelligence!
- Charlie goes back to Ms. Kinnian's class. The teacher who has been with him for this ordeal. Once she finds out that everything was for nothing she breaks into tears
- Charlie seeing how everything around him is crumbling decides to leave New York. The ordeal of going from dumb to genius to dumber makes Charlie want a fresh start away from the life now.
