Storyboard Tekst

  • The telescreens represent the government constantly watching, as well as blaring propoganda, any slight incorrection, and you'd be arrested.
  • The rented room represents freedom and privacy, as there are no telescreens in it.
  • The Coral Paperweight represents hope for a better world, one where everyone isn't constantly watched.
  • For figurative language, first we have ingsoc's slogan, "War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength." this is an example of an oxymoron
  • Finally, we have Big Brother, the dictator of Britian, while we never see him in person, there are plenty of posters with his face saying, "Big brother is always watching." he is harsh, and straightforward
  • "Big Brother is always watching" This is true throughout the whole story, through telescreens, which are everywhere, big brother, is always watching.
  • Conflicts are Man Vs Society, because Winston and Julia believe society is corrupt, and Winston wants to revolt.
  • The theme is pick your battles, as winston tries to reble against the government, and fails.
  • George Orwell's 1984 takes place in Britian, (more specifically london) in the year, 1984, one night at home, he has visions of his mother and sister sinking, he then ponders if life was always like this, and with the poems of the old pawn shopkeeper, and Julia's black market buying, he gets a taste of his young days, before ingsoc, however, the thought police eventually catch him and Julia red handed, and they are both brutally tortured.
  • Next, we have Man Vs Himself, where at the start, he could not decide if he hated big brother or not.
  • Finally, another Man V Society, on hate week, people hate on the opposition, in the book, it is Goldstien, he is presented on a screen, and people go into fits of rage
