The effects of anthropogenic pollution has caused the Earth's temperature to rise an estimated 1°C, and if it ever gets to 2°C it would be almost impossible to reserve the effects. With what is currently being done, the enviroment is not going to be saved.
Thats not bad for 200,000 years
Any higher and the sea level is going to rise 0.5 meters and hundreds of thousands to millions will die or be affected.
China alone is also set to dump 15 billion tons of CO2 annually by 2030, with almost no efforts being taken to reduce this
Its still possible to save it though, have you seen what the EPA has been doing to curb pollution?
People are still too involved in their idea of freedom that any regulations placed onto pollution have been fought tooth and nail by many individuals and congress. This is only explemified by the fact that congress is split as of now.
It can still be possible for climate change to be stopped before the effects are too large to handle, but what is currently being done makes me believe that we aren't going to stop it.
Wow, maybe we could still do something, like go to another planet after we ruin this one.
