- LEARNING ABOUT GINA AND HER DISABILITY REALLY TOUCHED MY HEART. It was amazing how the doctors tried to convince her mother that she should place Gina in an institution and carry on with her life, but she did the exact opposite. She brought her baby home and got her the help she needs to thrive in life. This was a very heart warming story.
- When parents and teachers work together, the impact on students progress can be significant. In order for a parent to be able to share their voice, the teacher, such as myself, has to built that relationship with the parents. The parents have to be able to trust the teacher who is working with their children. The teacher can try their best to educate the parent on their child's disability. to help them understand. I would also make it clear to the parents that they can email me with any concerns or questions they may have. I would have parent-teacher conferences, and i would do some sort of social media classroom page for the parents to stay involved and to share information that the parents should know about.
