- There were times where I was stranded and alone, not knowing what would happen next, or when I would run out of my food rations. I was waiting days at a time for a sign that I could return home.

- After many days, I was able to return home, but I would never be the same again. Being forced to fight for someone else, watching innocent people die for no good reason, it really showed me how cruel the real world can be.
- Ahmed grandfather returns home as a forever changed man, wearing many scars of the struggles he went through.

- So, Ahmed, you see that there are things that people go through that can really change them. You hope it is never bad, but the reality is that's the way life is, You may be forced to do things against your will, nd you must be prepared for whatever comes next, so you aren't swallowed by it for the rest of your life.
