  • At the workplace
  • Guys, I do not like how the management treats us. We are all at risk of being infected by this virus yet we don't have the necessary safety needs in place.
  • We are on month 2 yet nothing has changed with the management...
  • Also, It is frustrating that we don't have a union to represent us and make sure our needs are fulfilled.
  • At the workplace
  • I don't want to die, This virus kills people and it what we see almost everyday.
  • It makes more hard the fact that we don't have protective gears to ensure chances are less of us contracting the virus.
  • At the workplace
  • As an elected trade union organizer, I am here exert pressure on the management since they chose to not respond back to the multiple emails the employees sent. It is often hard to work without the necessary gears
  • The employees are scared that they might be infected by the corona virus. Since they are on the forefront it makes it easier for them to be infected. They concluded that they need to form a union and recruit members to sign.
  • At the meeting
  • As the superintendent of this hospital i have heard about the grievance from the your union.
  • Employees are fed up with the management not taking their needs seriously. The number of members signing in is increasing which results in them forming a majority union. One of the union concerns is to make sure the workplace has health and safety measures in place If not, they need to be implemented urgently.
  • At the meeting
  • As the trade union we have the right to access the workplace and talk with our members, so we will visit anytime to see if gears have been placed
  • we have the right to access information of the hospital, so we will definetly know if measures have beenn placed
  • The trade union organizer meets with the management of the hospital to help ensuring the employees rights are maintained and preserved in the workplace. The unions are also responsible of ensuring that employment equity is maintained.
  • At the meeting
  • we have to take action about this as soon as possible
  • Trade union have the power they plans a big role and they have alot of rights therefore if we dont take this serious we might lose our jobs.
  • The management is apologizing for not responding to workers emails and informing workers about the grievance they have told their trade union therefore they are asking them be patient with them so they can have a meeting as a management to come up with some strategies in how they can protect their workers in this situation.
  • We apologies for not responding to your emails, as the hospital we are dealing with alot of situations during this pandemic.
  • At the meeting the trade union is informing workers that they have informed the hospital management about the issue and therefore they promised to respond to the issue within a week, then the trade union is trying to tell them about their rights as trade union members and telling them that if the management has not responded to the further actions will be taken.
  • Remember our role is to safeguarding the interest of you as workers, we will do our best to sort the issue
  • The management hosted the meetings with other management to talk about these issues to there for come up with measures or gears to sort this issue as managers, because if they do not respond to this issue they may face some serious actions taken by trade union.
