- hey besties, I'm Peter Ribbit, and I will be your tour guide through this forest where we will be
- photosynthesis. this process creates glucose for the plant to use to grow, but also store for other
- here is where we will start! the sunlight casts down on the trees and plants, causing them to do
- herbivores to eat and gain energy.
- of them, gaining 10% of the energy stored in the plant (90% goes to the plant to grow).
- after the plants have done photosynthesis, primary consumers (herbivores) will come and eat off
- next, the secondary consumer (the snake) will come and eat the primary consumer and obtain 10% of its energy.
- the tertiary consumer (the hawk) will eat the secondary consumer and gain 10% of its energy.
- mushrooms, or fungi, will decompose the final consumer after it dies, gaining 10% of its energy, and then the process repeats!
