- My mom was so worried and struggled with what to do. She decided the best thing was to move to New York and put me in catholic school. There I met Mrs. Vavaro. Mrs, Vavaro ensured my mom I did not have a learning disability but instead just needed some extra help when it came to fully grasping concepts. Mrs. Vavaro kept my mom updated on my progress and constantly communicated with her so that she would not be as thrown off as she was the day I was left back.
- I'm afraid Taina is going to be left back. She does not seem to understand content taught and struggles completing work. I think she may have a learning disability.
- What makes you think you are qualified to diagnose my daughter with a learning disability. Instead of making her repeat 1st grade you should've found ways to actually support her needs.
- Four ways a teacher will help parents share their voice is by:1. Informing parents about any concerns and providing any information that could help them.2. I will listen and seek the advice of parents and incorporate their ideas within instruction.3. I will parents help set goals for their child and inform them of their strengths or weaknesses.4. I will make sure to build a relationship with parents by frequently updating them on their child's progress.
