- This is because people began to rely on letters instead of really internalizing what they’ve learned
- a man discoevred many things and presented them to the King, but he did not retain them because they were all written
- What do you mean?
- People will have the tools to be wise, but they will not have the personal philosophy
- There is a vast difference between good speech writing and bad speech writing
- it is very hot but we should continue this conversation so the muses will bestow their gift on us
- what gift?
- Speech writing is like trying to paint something, you think you are getting the beauty and the entire picture, but in reality you are not. It is a fake representation of reality
- I understand why you would feel that way socretes since once things are written they are no longer open to discussion with the author
- As a conversationalist, you are very against the solidity of these things and would prefer questions and discourse
