Storyboard Tekst

  • Cheer leading should become a regulated sport.
  • Actually, It shouldn't be. It could cause more risk to cheerleaders, and it doesn't need to be any more dangerous
  • That is true but, because it is so dangerous there needs to be rules and things in place to help protect the cheerleaders.
  • That might be so but having all of those rules in place can make the sport more complicated and harder to manage.
  • Many injury's and accidents have been happening lately and making cheer a regulated sport could help to get these under control
  • A lot of people think that cheer is a simple sport with no risk but cheerleaders know that that is in no way true. Making cheer a regulated sport could make more people think that it is a safe sport and that there is nothing to worry about. That will not help and injury numbers will not go down.
  • That definitely could happen but there have been 73 catastrophic injuries and 2 deaths in between 1982 and 2008. I think that its worth that risk.
  • You do make a good point but there are different parts to cheer leading. Some teams aren't competitive and don't do all of these crazy tricks that get people injured. There should not be rules for a sport that had many different parts to it. That would make it harder to manage like I've said before.
  • Wow, that is a lot of money! But that won't matter if cheer leaders are injured which can happen with new rules. It can also make it harder on cheer coaches and managers so keeping cheer the way it is, is the best way to go
  • That does make sense but the cheer industry is a big deal. It a multi-million-dollar business and with cheer as a sport they could get more business and make more money.
  • What do you think?
