  • Neurons in the arms of Octopi go directly to the brain, making the arms an incredible feature to have. The neurons control many of the body's functions.
  • Octopuses have a coat of skin on the outside that allows them to be camouflaged easily so predators cannot attack.
  • Octopuses can weigh up to 600 pounds! This may help the creatures when trying to capture food or stay put in one place for an amount of time.
  • Octopuses grow to have opinions about humans. There have been cases of Octopuses shooting water at people and dismantling tank filters.
  • An octopus can fit into very small places thanks to it's soft & flexible body. The hard part is trying to get their hard beak into those places.
  • Whales take in gallons of cold water without going into Hyperthermia. 
  • The seams on whale's bodies are used to glide through the water way more steadily.
  • There is a layer of hair under the blubber to keep the whales warm.
  • When whales sing or make noises, they don't come from vocal chords because they have none. they come from the larynx in the nasal cavity.
  • Blue whales can swim up to 30 mph when in certain situations.
  • Feet are webbed to help them swim at good speeds. 
  • Important features like ears, nose, and eyes are above the water so they can swim. 
  • Ears have special flaps that keep water from entering while swimming.
  • When Beavers appear silver while swimming, it is air that get trapped in their coat.
  • Beavers have scales on their tails that aid them in swimming.
