- "Mom I do know it's hard to get me a car because it is a sign of me growing up, but can you remember getting your first car? how exciting it was and how you would do just about anything for it?"
- *FLASHBACK* "I remember that car... 1989 red Camara. I payed for half that car and was constantly a chauffeur to my friend's but we did have some great times"
- PATHOS
- " Well, based on nlm.nih.gov the average miles a week for a teen is 150, and with gas prices now that would cost about 18 dollars weekly. With my new job at Kiwis in town I make $135 so I will pay for all my gas."
- " I've figured all this out mom. I found a used car in reat condition it hasn't had any accidents, only 1 owner, and gets 24 miles to the city gallon. It's 10,490 and I have saved up $5,365 so I can pay for half."
- "I do want you to have a car but honey it's very expensive." "Okay that covers the upfront cost but what about gas?"
