- During ancient India they had a social class scale. This determined the people they married and the jobs they did. Vaisyas were farmers,crafts people, and merchants. (like shown)

- During ancient India another social class was the Sudras. They were servants of the rich.

- Two other social classes were the Brahmins and the Kshatriyas. Each was very wealthy. The Kshatriyas were warriors who lead the government ( shown here)

- The untouchables as shown had dirty jobs such as collecting trash, skinning animals, and carrying dead bodies.

- A Hindu Guru was believed to be a spiritual teacher. They taught many traits of the religion Hinduism
- The Buddha had many questions in life so he set out to find the answers he trained with many Hindu Gurus and deprived himself of comforts to get to the purpose of life. He never answered his questions so he meditated for 49 days under a fig tree. There he reached enlightment and created Buddism.
