Volleyball player #1: OMG! Did you guys hear what Nikole has been saying about Brooklyn?
Nikole: Well I'm telling the truth. She doesn't know what she is doing. She has no respect, not trustworthy, and no communication skills.
Volleyball player #2: I think that she is a great leader. She is always willing to help out and she is trustworthy. I know that if I have an issue I can tell her without worrying about a breach of my confidence. She also respects anything that her teammates say.
Brooklyn: Hey girl! I heard that you have been saying that my leadership is not credible. I’m not mad I just like to know why you think this, so we can have an honest conversation about your feelings
Nikole: I’m sorry. I just feel that way because I wanted to be volleyball captain and yougot that instead. I’ll stop speaking about you . You’re a good leader. Just so you know, when I was saying those bad things about you, I was going through a lot and I apoligize. Volleyball player #2 helped me realize that.
Brooklyn and Nikole are warming up together before a volleyball game. The morning prior, they fixed their relationship by communicating and actively listening.
Brooklyn: Hey Nikole! I just want to say that I am really glad that we could talk things out.
Nikole: Hey! I am glad too. i had to talk to all of the people that heard what I said about you. I am so sorry that I doubted your credibility as a leader. You handled that situations o well and that just proved how credible your leadership skills and your character are!
