- Once upon a time there was a lazy grasshopper who spent the whole summer playing music and dancing, while the ants worked hard to store food for the winter.
- The grasshopper thought it was silly for the ants to work so hard. He thought they should also enjoy in that beautiful weather.
- "There's no need to work so hard. Come and enjoy with me
- “We need to store food for the winter.”
- The grasshopper saw the ants working harder day and night to collect foods.
- When the weather started turning colder the ant were still collecting food but the grasshopper was singing and dancing teasing ant about their silliness.
- Relax, ants! There will be plenty of food to eat.
- One day when the grasshopper awoke, the sun was not shining. It was cold. Winter came overnight, and the ground was frozen and covered with snow. The grasshopper had no food to eat.
- Oh, no! its so cold. I need food.
- The Grasshopper was too worried and went here and there searching for food and shelter. He came upon the ants' nest and saw that the ants were happy. He realized that the ants were right. Not all days are good and you need to be prepared for the worst.
- You were right. I should have collected food just like you instead of singing. But now I don't have any food.
- Come, friend. There is room here and there is food. I've saved enough for many seasons. Come in and eat.
