- Kill the pig. Cut her throat. Spill her blood.
- You let the fire go out!
- I was getting us meat!
- Jack is supposed to keep the fire going but he goes off hunting.
- Jack says he was getting them meat and they can just relight the fire.
- Ralph's Conflict with Jack
- This is an external conflict. It is between two characters and is ongoing. Ralph and Jack continuously fight over the fire, causing problems throughout the whole island.
- Ralph gets mad at Jack because they could've been saved if the fire was kept up.
