- Yes I went out hiking but don’t have a pet. I didn’t shower after.
- Hello, I’m a medical consultant, You can call me Omar and I will check how you got your disease and what is your disease.
- Did you go out in the grass or hiking or got near a pet who just went out in a grassy area. Did you shower after?
- Oh okay I will remember to shower after hiking.
- It seems you must have gotten it when a tick got on you when hiking if you showered then you could have gotten rid of it
- I have a rash in my right elbow and fever followed by a headache. I’ve had this for around 1 day to 2.
- So what symptoms do you have and for long have you had them.
- Okay I will take them when I get to the pharmacy.
- It seems you have Lyme I will give you appropriate antibiotic called Doxycycline and if it doesn’t work use Amoxicillin.
- Okay and what about the rest of my family friends and other people in my community?
- Make sure that you shower to get rid of the tick to prevent spread and don't when going hiking always shower afterwards.
