- In the ancient Mayan Civilization, women played significant roles in rituals, cooking for sacrifice and eating, and worked in textiles. Women were seen as supportive and mother-like symbols to society.

- Inca Civilization
- Women's role and responsibilities in the Ancient Inca civilization was mostly cooking and taking care of children. Women were expected to be pure virgins, and learn certain tasks in order to be devoted to the gods, or to be a Nobel wife to elite Inca men. Women were considered second class citizens and were expected to work in the houshold.

- Aztec Civilization
- Women in ancient Aztecs had the roles of being mothers, weaves, midwives, housekeepers, and merchants. They were considered "equivalent" to men, bur men still controlled most of the roles that included dominating powers and markers of influence. Women were also expected to participate and contribute to agricultural and economic activities. This showed their roles in survival and stability of the empire. They were powerful and effective figures due to all of their hard work. Their rights and responsibilities made them recognized as indispensable women in ancient Aztec society.
