- So, I will tell you about the first type of epithelial tissue that is Simple Squamous Epithelial . It is thin and flat and form a delicate lining . It covers oesophagus and lining of mouth. Squamous Epithelial .
- Now my turn. I will explain you about Stratified Squamous Epithelial. Skin epithelial cells are made up of many layers to prevent wear and tear. Since they are arranged in a pattern of layers they are called Squamous Epithelial.
- Please explain me about Columnar epithelial tissue
- OK! Where absorption and secretion occur, as in inner lining of intestine, tall epithelial cells are present. This columnar epithelial facilitates movements across the epithelial barrier .
- The last type of epithelial tissue is Cuboidal Epithelial (cube shaped cells) Tissue. Cuboidal epithelium forms the lining of kidney tubules and ducts of salivary glands, where it provides mechanical support.
