The Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims. It takes place in the last month of the year. Hajj is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime if they are physically able.
A kufi or kufi cap is a brimless, short, and rounded cap worn by men in many populations in North Africa, East Africa, Western Africa, and South Asia as a sign of peace, mourning, renewal, or protection of the mind.

ISLAM VOCABULARY
QU'RAN
A Hijab is a head covering worn in public by some Muslim women as a sign of respect and modesty. Hijab can also refer to modesty wear in general.
The Holy Qu'ran is the Islamic sacred book, believed to be the word of God as dictated to Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel and written down in Arabic. It has 114 sections called suras; the first sura is said as part of the ritual prayer. The Qu'ran is recited in its original Arabic by Muslims all over the world.
