- Andrés Manuel del Río was examining the brown lead ore.

- As he was examining it, he discovered a new element! He sent his discovery to Paris but unfortunately it got lost in the shipwreck.

- Years passed since the incident. Now in 1831 Vanadium was the rediscovered by Nils Gabriel Sefström in a new oxide he found while working with iron ores. Soon, more research on Vanadium was conducted.
- Vanadium is a non-toxic transition metal that has a symbol of V, atomic number of 23, and atomic weight of 50.9415.
- It is used as a pigment for ceramics and glasses. In supplements, it helps treats diabetes. It can also be found in jewlery. Vanadium dramatically increases items tensile strength, making Vanadium one of the most cost-effective additives in steel alloys.
