- Years later, we emigrated to America, where I discovered a totally different way of living. In America , apparently, it was unusual for a girl to be good at math...

- Weird girl...
- I realized (maybe too late) that many girls got good grades in elementary school, but their grades began to slip when they entered middle school. By then they were getting interested in boys, and they didn´t want the boys to think they were weird. That wasn't the case with me, though. I was a real whiz at math and eventually I got into a decent college!

- Oh, hey!!
- Of course, there were some things I didn´t quite understand still about America´s way of determining certain subjects (like math) for a specific gender only. But thankfully today, attitudes are finally beginning to change.
- I'd like to introduce you to my mom, the one person who truly made me the person I am today. Thanks to her I am able to say proudly that I m an engineer. Thank you!
- Years ago, I enjoyed story problems because the stories fired my imagination. However, writing fiction (stories) is where I finally found my " fiery breath" . And that's what I'm still doing today.
