- Poet, Nikolay Nekrasov , wrote ''Baba Yaga The Bony-Legged'' in 1840, describing how the devil cooked twelve evil women to create Baba Yaga.

- The phrase ''Turn your back to the forest, your front to me'' not only stops the cottage from walking away, it also causes the cabin to turn around, so that the only door faces visitors too lazy to walk around the house themselves.
