- Charles, I was quite unpopular among the people and parliament he believed in divine right and wanted all the power and would dissolve and parlaiment to get more funds.
- Restoration of the Stuart monarchy
- The Cavaliers and the roundheads were fighting in the civil war. The cavaliers/Royalist where fighting for the king and the roundheads for parlaiment.
- Glorious Revolution
- The Roundheads with their leader Oliver Cromwell win and they beheaded king charles I in 1649. Oliver and parliament then make a commonwealth government.
- English bill of rights
- The restoration of the monarchy is marked as the return of king charles II as king. This was unpopular because the main reason being because the army and religious policies were unpopular. This brought back the sense of freedom and creativity in arts and literature that cromwell discouraged.
- FREEDOM
- This led to establishment of an english nation that limited the kings power. Also it provided protection for the english subjects. It involved the overthrow of king james II who would frequently try and over step his boundaries and was replaced by his protestant daughter and her husband.

- The english bill of rights created a constitutional monarchy. That means they had a king or queen acts as they ae head of state but their power is limited. This made sure that the people had their basic right or the king wasnt taking advantage of his power.
