At the Museum of Ancient History, the historian says, "Welcome to our Museum of Ancient History, where we showcase the curiosities of the twentieth century. This era was known as the Era of the Book, where books were used for education, illustration, punctuation, and decoration. In fact, a single book saved the Earth from a Martian invasion in 2040. Want to know which book it was? Let me show you using the historiscope.
NOODLE: O Great and Mighty Think-Tank, Ruler of Mars and her two moons, most powerful and intelligent creature in the whole universe, what are your orders?THINK-TANK: Good. I want to communicate with our space probe on Earth. Find it and make contact immediately, and I want to invade that ball of mud before lunch.NOODLE: Yes sir, will be done.
I am Think-Tank
I am Noodle
Noodle here!
Captain Omega, Lieutenant Iota, and Sergeant Oop are exploring Earth and trying to figure out where they are. Think-Tank tells them they are at a refreshment stand and that the communication sandwiches they found are not for listening but for looking at. The Martians decipher a nursery rhyme code on the sandwiches and Think-Tank concludes that Earthlings are highly advanced, teaching even their animals musical culture and space techniques. He orders the Martians to evacuate the planet and remove all traces of their visit as he had found a poem in the book 'Mother Goose' which showed Think-Tank (Humpty Dumpty who looked like him) falling and getting hurt. The curtain closes as the Martians hurry to clean up and the Historian chuckles, reflecting on how a dusty old book of nursery rhymes saved Earth from a Martian invasion.
