- 1.Plants absorb carbon dioxide from air to grow, and decompose to release carbon dioxide.
- 2.Iron-rich dust is blown by winds into the ocean and stimulates phytoplankton blooms.
- 3.Air and sea exchange carbon dioxide. Then the zooplankton and phytoplankton eat it in order to grow.

- 6.Some carbon sinks to the depths in the form of decaying biota and fecal pellets.
- 5.Eventually, the rocks start to unlift themselves onto land surface and release carbon into soils and atmosphere.

- In conclusion, the carbon cycle is the process of carbon atoms continually traveling from the atmosphere to the Earth and then back into the atmosphere.
